This is a special request. Christ’s Hope Namibia is hosting a Youth Camp as part of their Choose to Wait Ministry in Africa.
As we teach these students in weekly clubs we realize that they need more personal and deliberate discipleship, which is why we are hosting a youth camp, August 27-30.
Your sponsorship of $45.00 per Student will provide transportation, meals and an unforgettable camp experience. Students are asked to raise some of the cost, but they are unable to meet the entire cost. Your financial help will bring the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to those who have not made that commitment, and it will give spiritual strength to those who have chosen to begin their journey of faith.

Dates: June 7-17, 2009...Distance: 3250 Miles
WE ARRIVED!!!! Praise the LORD. Awesome time! On Tuesday, June 17th our riders road up to Sandy Point in Annapolis and completed the Ride for Hope Coast to Coast by dipping their tires into the Chesapeake Bay. 10 days, 3250 miles, 19 flat tires, 1 speeding ticket, 1 hospital visit, numerous close calls, 0 accidents, many new friends, encouragements, and prayers.
We’re so thankful to all the churches and volunteers along the way who practiced hospitality, shared in fellowship with us, and encouraged us so many times.
Our goal was to raise awareness and funds for AIDS and Orphans in Africa. In both ways this was a great success. Many people have expressed interest in serving in Africa, sponsoring our children, and becoming involved in Choose to Wait. We still tallying the final count of funds raised, but we are very appreciative of the blessings showered on us.

Update from Africa – Hospital Visit
On Saturday I went to Kisumu General Hospital to visit one of our patients, Morris, who had been admitted the previous day. Morris’ story is very sad, but I want to share with you what happened during my visit to the hospital. I’m always shocked by some of the cases I find; I know that I shouldn’t be, but I still am. I hope you will appreciate your healthcare wherever in the world you live.
